At the heart of the YZ450F is a 450cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke engine with four titanium valves, a 13.0:1 compression ratio, and 44mm Mikuni® fuel injection. Yamaha's reversed-cylinder-head layout, forged aluminum piston, lightweight crank assembly, and dry-sump lubrication help create a compact engine with strong pulling power across the rev range.

Advanced Power & Electronic Tuning

The Yamaha Power Tuner App puts engine tuning and rider-focused technology at your fingertips. Riders can adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing, configure traction control, and customize launch control settings to suit track conditions and riding style. The system also incorporates an ECU anti-theft lock function.
